Welcome to Legwork Enterprises!
One of the questions you may be asking yourself is, why would I choose Legwork Enterprises as the name of my business?
During my working career, I have had the good fortune to be able to obtain and hone a variety of skills. In 1975, while still working as a medical secretary, I graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, and became a registered massage therapist. In 1996, I obtained my certification as a reflexologist through the Reflexology Association of Canada. In the intervening years, I also had the opportunity to work as both a freelance journalist and a disability awareness consultant. As I prepared to launch this endeavour in December of 2004, I knew that I still wanted to make use of all of the skills that I had accumulated, and that I’d have to do a lot of legwork to get my business up and running. Hence, Legwork Enterprises!
As you explore this site, you will find articles on massage therapy and reflexology that will hopefully encourage you to explore these healing modalities as viable options for your health.
In addition, you will see articles on various aspects of disability awareness, such as Please Don’t Say Shh, and Canada’s Untapped Talent.
You will also find issues of Legwork Review, the E-mail newsletter that I publish each month.
Another link that you’ll discover is to The Harness,www.theharness.ca a quarterly publication for people who use assistance dogs which I founded in May of 1992 after training with my first guide dog. Today, The Harness still remains the only Canadian publication that offers information on a wide variety of subjects for people who use assistance dogs.
